I must confess that as a family, we have never ventured out for any walks of any serious proportion. Having said that, I keep hearing from our guests, especially those who have stayed off season, how good the walking. So I thought I'd do a bit of research and compile a page accordingly.
The scenery has been described as "Scotland without the rain". It can be quite rugged, mountainous and certainly challenging for the more experienced walker, however, I have seen lots of walks that are suitable for the less experienced. The scenery is spectacular with inland lakes, secret coves, lofty summits, spectacular sea views.
